Nagarkot Changunarayan day hike takes you to the two famous tourist attractions Nagarkot and Changunarayan. Nagarkot is the hilltop village at an altitude 2,100 meters above sea level and the summer retreat of the Kings of Kathmandu Valley that offers amazing mountain views, while Changunarayan is an oldest temple in Kathmandu Valley and UNESCO Listed World Heritage Site that carries history over 2500 years.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Kathmandu and drive to Nagarkot, 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu. Here you will leave your car and start walking through local villages and forests and reach Changunarayan Temple in around 4 hours. After visiting the temple car will pick you up from here and drive back to Kathmandu and drop you to your hotel.
