Chandragiri Hills & Kathmandu Durbar Square Day Tour takes you to the Chandragiri Hill that lies on the south-west side of Kathmandu Valley at 2,551 meters. This hill is connected with both Buddhist and Hindu religions. The hill provides panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan ranges from Annapurna to Everest. The Bhaleshwar Mahadev temple of Lord Shiva is on top of the hill. Legend says that King Prithivi Narayan Shah worshipped in the temple before conquering the valley during his unification campaign in 18th century. After being back from Chandragiri Hill we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and walk to Thamel through old market of Kathmandu.
Your Tour guide will meet you in your hotel in Kathmandu and drive to Chandragiri Cable Car Point and ride cable car to Chandragiri Hills, spend time on the hill and ride back on a cable car and drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square. After sightseeing in Durbar Square we will walk through old Ason market to our hotel in Thamel.
