City of Temples to the Lap of Annapurna

Kathmandu and Pokhara are the most popular valleys in the southern slopes of the Himalayas. While Kathmandu is a crowded city and cultural center of Nepal with people from all over the country looking for opportunity, Pokhara has the best of Himalayan view with three beautiful lakes in its vicinity. Swoyambhunath Temple: This Buddhist Stupa, said to be 2000 years old is a perfect architecture of gilded spire and white washed dome located under thousands of fluttering prayer flags.

Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath, a pagoda style Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is considered to be the powerhouse of Hindu spiritual power in religious terms.

Boudhnath Stupa: This enormous stupa is where thousands of pilgrims gather daily to make a ritual circumnavigation of the dome, beneath the watchful eyes of the Buddha, which gaze out from the gilded central tower. Bhaktapur City: As that of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square, this is the third medieval city-states in Kathmandu Valley which is home of medieval art and architecture. Located 14 kms east of Kathmandu City, this place was founded in the 9th Century.  Bhaktapur has three major squares full of towering  array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bupatindra Malla. The Nyatapola Temple, also built by King Bhupatindra Malla, is the best example of Pagoda style and stands on five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures - two famous strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins and two goddesses.

Patan Durbar Square: Located about 5 km south of Kathmandu in the Kathmandu Valley, on the southern side of the Bagmati River, Patan is one of the three royal cities in the valley. A paradise of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. The city of Patan is believed to have been built in the third century B.C. by the Kirat dynasty. It was expanded by Lichhavis in the 6th century A.D. and again by the Mallas in medieval period. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the former royal palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects.

Considering our short comfort trip, our itinerary was planned to cover the most important sights in and around Kathmandu and Pokhara. We had great time and thinking that we want to go again for a longer stay as Nepal has a lot to offer and off course the next trip too we would book with Eve Holidays

Ashwin and Sweta, Delhi

We had such a wonderful time.  All the tour guides were friendly and accommodating.  Thank you for your attention to details and organizing so well for our family of five.

Our trip to Nepal was perfect. We were very curious about the country. We had a limited time of seven days and we wanted many things including culture and history. Time was not enough but they arranged everything so well.

I travelled to Nepal first time and booked with this company after reading the excellent reviews they have in Trip Advisor and I do not regret. I am very much satisfied with their service and I can honestly recommend this company to other travelers.

Morgan Rayes from England

With my two colleagues i was travelling to Nepal and together we planned to do this tour.We stumbled upon this company and sent my first inquiry email. I was impressed that they responded in less than an hour and addressed our requirements very precisely. Finally 3 of us booked with them. I cannot stop myself appreciating the Eve Holidays team for making our experience so lovely. Accomodation in Kathmandu was in Thamel and our rooms were ideally located away from noise. We had breakfast in the hotel which were perfect buffet breakfast. We had 2 complimentry dinners in Kathmandu with Maina. She is very friendly and nice lady and i am glad recommending this company.
Highly dedicated and professional staff and excellent customer service.
