Day 1 Arrive at Trivandrum Airport

You will be met on arrival at Trivandrum Airport and transfered to your hotel. After some refreshments you will then be taken on a brief city tour of Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala that is famed for its low coastal hills and busy commercial alleys

Day 2 Drive to Alleppey and board a houseboat

After breakfast we drive towards North to Alleppey which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kerala. In Alleppey we will board a traditional, fully furnished houseboat where you will have three crew members at your service including a chef. You slowly stroll your way through the maze of waterways and lakes that make up Kerala's beautiful backwaters.

Day 3 Drive to Cochin

Awake to the sunrise reflecting off the water and enjoy breakfast onboard before a drive to Cochin, a major port city on the west coast of India. After reaching Cochin you will have the rest of the day to do what pleases you. You have the option to visit the Diamond factory and witness the production of authentic diamond ornaments; or sit for a complimentary one hour tuk tuk ride to experience the busy streets of this city. In the evening you will be treated to a fantastic dance performance of traditional Kathakali, one of the oldest theatre forms in the world. This classical dance drama is famous for its elaborate make-up codes which has become an art form in itself and the colourful faces of the dancers are the result of hours of handwork by expert artists.

Day 4 Sightseeing in Cochin

After breakfast in the hotel, we visit to St Francis Church, believed to be the oldest European built church in India. Then marvel at the Dutch Mattanacherry Palace, originally built by the Portuguese in 1555, later renovated in 1663 and witness traditional fishing methods using historic Chinese fishing nets as well as experiencing the vibrant colours and smells from the local market.

Day 5 Drive to Periyar

Today after breakfast, we drive up into the dense mountains through the various palm, tea and spice plantations to Thekkady. This is the site of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, home to herds of elephant as well as the majestic tiger.

Day 6 Periyar Lake and around

Today we will ride on an early morning free cruise on Periyar Lake to view the wildlife and for the chance to see elephants on the lake's fringes. After the jungle adventure we visit Aranmula Temple and the Manufacturing Centre of Aranmula Kannadi.

Day 7 Departure flight

Untill your flight time you are free to explore on your own. At your flight time you will be transferred to Trivandrum or Cochin Airport for an onward flight.

We use star hotels in India. Since the tour is designed on twin sharing basis, you share room with your fellow traveler but in case you prefer single rooms we charge for single supplement. One night we stay in houseboat in Alleppey


Buffet style breakfast will be served in the hotel where you stay. Lunch and dinners are not included in the trip cost to let you enjoy the variety of meals available in India.


Visa and Travel Procedures

All visitors need a visa for India, except citizens of neighboring countries Nepal and Bhutan. Indian visa must be obtained from the Indian Embassy in your home country before traveling to India
