Bhutan Tour 4 days covers Tiger’s nest hiking and visit to major sights in Paro and Thimpu that includes visits to medieval fortresses, museums, and marketplaces as well as Buddhist monasteries in Bhutan's western valleys and temples in the Himalayas.

Day 1: Arrive Paro and drive to Thimpu (54 kms, 1.5 hours)

On arrival at Paro airport, after visa formalities you will be received by our guide and transfer to Thimphu (54 kms, 1.5 hrs). You can fly to Paro from Kathmandu, Delhi, Kolkata, Dhaka, Bangkok, Singapore, Yangoon. In the evening you are free to relax and enjoy the surroundings of the beautiful Paro valley

Day 2: Thimphu sightseeing
Today we visit National Library, the priceless collection of Buddhist manuscripts written in gold. Also visit late King’s Memorial Stupa, built for the world peace. Painting School, which preserves traditional paintings, sculpturing and wood curving. Later we visit Majestic Tashichho Dzong, which houses office for the king and the ministers and National Handicraft Emporium, the best place to look for souvenir from Bhutan.

Day 3: Paro Sightseeing; Hike to Tigesr's Nest and visit Kyichu Lhakhang Monastery en route
Takstang monastery, also called Tiger's Nest is one of the most venerated and famous of Bhutan's monasteries. It is located on the face of a 900m sheer cliff. Today we drive to the trail-head and begin trek to this famous site. Your guide can arrange pony/horse for ride uphill till the Cafeteria, but one must be able to walk after that. A proper trekking boot or good walking shoes is necessary for this hike those who choose not to hike can stay back with the driver and tour around Paro. Enroute to Paro we visit Kyichu Lhakhang Monastery.

Day 4:  Transfer to Paro Airport 

Today you are in leisure on your own untill your flight time. You will be transferred to Paro airport at your flight time.

Accommodation

Hotels in Bhutan are approved and classified by the government as grade A, B and C. These government approved hotels are equivalent to 3-4 star hotels elsewhere. Based on availability at the time booking, A grade hotels will be provided in this trip. All accommodations are on a twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost additional.


Meals

Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner are included during your stay in Bhutan. A variety of meals are available in most hotels the most popular being Indian, Chinese, and the more common continental food. Non-vegetarian dishes are generally available in most parts of Bhutan - pork, beef, chicken, and fish. 


Best Time to Travel

Best Seasons Spring (March to May) and autumn (September and October) are the best time to visit Bhutan. The months of April and May offer the natural grandeur of rhododendron blooms whereas Bhutan observes its biggest festivals during spring. Bhutan can also be visited during summer and winter if one wishes to avoid crowd. However, the summers are wet and winters are cold which might not suit well with everybody.

 

Luggage Weight Restrictions

Druk Air has a 44 pound (20 kg) weight limit for checked luggage and another 11 pound weight limit for carry-on luggage on their flights. Your carry-on bags are restricted to one piece, and the size should not exceed 17" x 13" x 8".

Bhutan Visa

We handle the visa procedures for you. The Bhutanese government sanction visa only after the receipt of full payment in advance. The visa fee is included in our tour price. You need to email us the copy of your passport for visa procedures. Actual Bhutan VISA is stamped in your passport on arrival to Paro airport. Without visa clearance number, tourists cannot board the flight or enter the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs forwards a copy of this visa clearance to the concerned Druk Air stations and other entry points; we also fax a copy of the visa clearance document to our clients for their reference. While the actual visa is stamped on arrival, the initial visa clearance is also required at the time of issuing Druk Air Tickets.2 copies of original passport-sized photographs are required on arrival in the country.
